Village of Grand Bend Ontario

The Village of Grand Bend is notorious for its huge, sandy beach. Boating, windsurfing, jet-skiing, and of course, swimming are all pastimes for those who visit. Take a stroll up the boulevard from the beach and visit many seasonal and year-round antique shops, quaint boutiques, and restaurants. Just south of Grand Bend is a Flea Market open from May until Labor Day weekend.

The Grand Bend Salmon Derby is held each year in May.

Spend a day visiting art studios such as Lakeview Studios, just north of Grand Bend, where there are several events planned during the year, or the Train Studio located in a century-old farmhouse.

After an exciting day at the beach and shopping, take a trip to Exeter and visit the Body & Soul Spa. They boast "the finest comfort & amenities to refresh the body & soul". Or, put the kids in their PJ's and head out to the Starlite Drive-In Theatre, east of Grand Bend in Shipka.

For the sports enthusiast in your group, the Grand Bend Motorplex features The Mopar Performance Parts Canadian Nationals in June, as well as exceptional races and concerts every long weekend. For the golfer in your group, there are several golf courses to choose from, including:

Oakwood Inn Resort & Golf;
Exeter Golf Club; and
Ironwood Golf Club.

During the winter, there are a host of activities available in the area. The Pinery Provincial Park and the Great Canadian Hideaway are both just south of Grand Bend and offer groomed trails for cross-country skiing. There are many snowmobile trails that cris-cross the area, and a host of opportunities for sport hunting.

The Grand Bend Winter Carnival and Festival of Lights is held each year in February and offers over 40 events for the whole family. The Viewing of the Tundra Swans is held in March south of Grand Bend at the Lambton Museum.
